MY STORY
I Didn't Leave the Room.
I Learned How to Change It.
With over two decades in executive leadership, I kept noticing the same thing. Women who were brilliant, capable, and more than qualified for the next level were being passed over or waiting for someone to tell them they were ready. They were doing everything right and still not moving forward.
I had been that woman. Early on, I had no one showing me the way and had to figure it out myself. That is hard. So as I grew, I wanted to make it easier for the next woman coming up behind me. That is why I built Leading & Life.
WHAT I BELIEVE
Leadership Is Not One Size Fits All
As women, we are constantly told we are either too much or not enough. Too quiet to lead. Too direct. Too ambitious. Not assertive enough. The message is usually the same: sit down, do the work, and if you are lucky enough to get invited to the important meeting, you will probably be asked to take notes.
I do not believe that is how it has to be. There is a way for women to lead that is true to who they are and still assertive enough to get ahead. I have done it. I have watched other women do it well. And I want to see so much more of it.
I also believe in lifting each other up. It is never really you versus her. When you bring someone up, everyone gets better.

I started with a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and a Master of Applied Science in Health Care Administration. From there, I kept going. I am a certified executive coach through the Center for Executive Coaching and a Certified IEQ9 Practitioner, because understanding how people actually lead, think, and respond under pressure has always mattered to me.
I have been honored as a Women Who Mean Business recipient through Pacific Business News, an Athena Award nominee, and a Leaders Under 45 honoree. But the credential I lean on most is the 200+ leaders I have developed across my career.

I am based in Bloomington, Illinois, where I currently serve as a Strategic Program Director for a regional health system while coaching up-and-coming women leaders. My whole career has been about figuring out the path forward and taking the first step, even when it wasn't obvious. Now I help other women do the same, with a lot less trial and error than I had.
